1/23/2020 3 Comments Photo assignment #4, peopleDescription: For this assignment I had to take pictures of people and had to make sure the objects in the photo didn't take away from the main subject. Best PhotoSummary: This topic wasn't super difficult because there is so many people to take pictures of but I found that it was somewhat difficult to find good backdrops to use for the pictures. I experimented with many different backdrops and the different lighting as well. The sun was very bright on the day I took some of these photos which also made it more difficult.

1/23/2020 0 Comments photoshop #3, school contextDescription: For this project we had to take a picture from somewhere around the school and then photoshop it to look different than the original picture. Summary: I learned that there are many shortcuts in photoshop that made it a lot easier to complete this picture. For this project we did not have step by step instructions and that made it more difficult because we had to explore photoshop and experiment with new tools.
Description: For this assignment I chose nature/landscape. I think that the pictures will turn out nice because it snowed very recently and there is a good amount of snow on the ground which is good for pictures. I think this is a good topic because it isn't a super specific topic which allows me to be more creative with my pictures. Best photoNext best 5 photosSummary: I learned that when there is snow it will affect the lighting of the picture and can make it difficult to see the real depth of the picture. Snow naturally brightens the picture making it so that I had to adjust the aperture to allow less light into my pictures. I also learned that I can turn something ordinary into a good picture based on the angles I took the pictures from and what was in the picture.
1/16/2020 0 Comments panoramic photosSummary: For this project we learned how to properly use tripods to get the best possible photos that are taken from a consistent height and angle. I enjoyed this project, I like it how the pictures are so large and how much can be seen in just one photo. We also learned how to clash all of the photos together in photoshop.
1/15/2020 1 Comment photo assignment #2, Macrobest photoSummary: From this project I learned how important lighting is in a photo and how much of a difference it can make. It was cool to take pictures of things that I see everyday just up closer. This project went well, it wasn't hard to find things to take pictures of but it was hard to try and make the pictures look cool.

1/10/2020 2 Comments Photo assignment #1, AnimalFor this project we were able to select what topic we would take pictures of and I chose the topic animals. I went home and took pictures of my dog the first thing I had to do was find good spots to take the pictures, which was kind of difficult with the cold weather. I used LOTS of treats and I had to make sure I took the pictures while it was still light outside so my pictures weren't too dark. I also had to make sure my shutter speed wasn't too slow because my dog constantly moves and if the shutter speed was too slow then I could miss a very cute picture. I enjoyed this project because it was fun taking pictures of my dog and I enjoyed taking different types of pictures. next best 5 photosSummary: From this project I learned how to use lighting and the importance of shutter speed for the pictures you take. I also learned how much the angle you take the picture from will affect the outcome of the image, by using different angles you can focus on different things in an image. Taking pictures of my dog went pretty well overall, he would sit and then I was able to take a couple pictures or sometimes he would move and I would follow him with the camera at a high shutter speed. He got distracted very easily which made it hard to take pictures at times.
1/9/2020 0 Comments photoshop #2In these first two pictures of the car I used photoshop to crop the image and then change the color of the background to all black. I also had to tint the windows by selecting the area and then picking gradient which then allowed me to change the tint/shade of the windows. In this project I learned how important it is to select only the things necessary and to make sure i'm working on the correct layer. In these two pictures of the car, it started as a normal red car and then I added a pattern in the background, then added the color blue to the front of the car and made it a fade to add to the image. I used the trace tool to select the background that I wanted to change and then from there I picked a fun pattern.
